      hi po..isa po ako sa biktima ng mb life insurance kaninang hapon..same thing po ng nangyari sa inyu na inapproach at nagdahilan na anniversary nila tapos inofferan ng bag at umattend sa 45 minutes na pagpapakilala daw sa bangko nila..nagpabalance inquire muna cla sa atm ng bf ko kung more than 12k..after makta na higher nga..dinala kami sa opisina nila sa loob ng sm dasma at pinapasok ung bf ko sa loob pra daw sa presentation.pero more than 1hour n ang lumipas at may ppinapirmahan sa kanya..after nun hiniram ung atm nya pra icheck at ibnalik ang atm card..after nya mgpresent tska sinabi na binawas na ung 12k sa atm at ndi na daw maibabalik at makacancel ung insurance..pede lng daw mawithdraw ung pera after 2 years pa..anung legal action ang dapat na gawin..?please help

        hanapin niyo si mam layla espili at siya ang may hawak ng lahat ng reklamo ng mga biktima ng mga ahente ng mblife.. kasi papaikutin lang kayo ng mga opisyales din ng mblife
        doon s ic khit papaano mbabawi niyo ng buo ang pera niyo dhil hindi p nla iyan mgagawaan ng policy sa loob ng 15days kya ung mga sinsabi ng mga ahente na hindi pwede
        ung papel na pinirmahan niyo isampal niyo sa mukha ng nalinlang sa inyo ke opisyales p yan
        kpag tinanong kayo ni mam layla kung sino nagturo sa inyo sbihin niyo c NORMETA DISTRESA MEDEL kpag itinanggi niya yan sbihin niyo on record po ang sabi niya na kpag hindi pa lumampas ng 15days wla pang proper policy yan/ hindi pa nagagawa

          last april 20 , 2016 po nabiktima rin po ako ng mb life. 8k po nakuha nila skin. at the same date po pina cancel ko po agad ang transaction ko sakanila. pianagawa nila ako nga cancelation letter at sabi po 30-45 days po tatawagan dw nila ako at ibabalik skin ang pera, pero hanggang ngayon po hindi pa nila binabalik ang pera ko. tiawagan ko ang mb life ang sabi punta dw ako sa robinson branch gawa dw po ako ng panibagong letter of cancelation. ma’am ewan ko po kong pupuntahan ko po ba o hindi na.

            Di ko po alam ito, ngayon ko lang nabasa ang mga feedback tungkol sakanila. Today po kasi nagpunta kami ng Husband ko sa MBLife Office sa Farmers, marami po akong na-fill upan, marami din silang inexplain..then sabay sabi nila na need ko magbayad for protection daw ng savings ko. Then saka ako nagtaka na sabi nila minutes ago NO CASH/MONEY involve, ang sabi po nila sakin “Ma’am wala nga pong cash out kasi thru ATM po yung transaction”. saka na ako nag sabi na di ko tatanggapin pero pinipilit talaga nila ako. isa pa humingi sila ng ID at binigay ko pa naman po yung UMID ID ko. Di daw po nila ibibigay yung ID ko kung di daw po ako makapag transact. Ano po ang gagawin ko?. Patulong po. Salamat.

            Kakatawag lang din sakin nian kanina. kesyo may makukuha daw akong gift certificate dahil mastercard/visa card holder daw ako. 30 lang daw kami napili kelangan daw kunin sa office nila. dinecline ko na agad yung invitation nia. Eto po yung gamit niang mobile no. 09107936569

            Bigla po kasing may sinisingil saakin na babayaran ko daw so mejo nag isip na po ako na parang may something. Pero ayun pinipilit na po nila ako na dapat daw po kunin ko na kc ONE TIME lang daw po yung promo nila. E sabi ko di ko po kukunin dahil nga marami kami gastusin. So yun po di ko na po makuha yung id ko unless siguro makapag transact po ako sakanila. eto po yung tumawag sakin

            Hi Ms. Medel, nasa Saudi po ako now, gusto ko po sanang ipahinto ang Auto-transaction nila sa Credit card ko d2, 2nd times na akung nakukuhanan nila ng pera hindi pa kasama dyan ang down ko sa SM Dasma Branch nila last April 2016. Para wala na akung iniisip pang problema every 3 Months na kumukuha agad sila ng pera. Please give me a proper step to stop this Auto-transact nila.             Pag mag pacancel po ba. Sila din po ba ang magbbigay ng letter of cancellation sayo?? Pnacancel ko saken kase malaki2 nakuha dn nila saken, then they say na idodowngrade nlng ung for reservation fee nalang about 6000 tpos ung natira sa bnayaran ko eh ibabalik daw bank to bank about 30 to 45days. .           Base from the contract policy na every due date magdeduct ng bayad. by quarter po kasi sa akin at nag apply last July 24 2016 so bale on October 24 ulit ang next deduction KO p.o. sa atm KO Pero when I checked my balance sa atm nabawasan ang pera ko ng halos 7k . direct po sa atm ko na ndeduct yung money. Nag advance deduction sila

No money involve daw. It’s their anniversary daw at isa ako sa napili. Pumunta lang daw ako until today just bring 2 valid id’s and proof na ako yung may bank account.
            Kahapon pa ako nagtataka, kasi bakit sa landline sila tumawag st nalaman nila ang landline namin, bagong pakabit lang po ang landline namin. At wala po akong natatandaang may na fill-up-an na nilagay ko ang landline namin.
            Papunta na po sana ako ngayon sa office nila at naka-schedule ako today. Nag search muna ako about sa mbicorp. At ito nga po ang mga nabasa ko.

            Hi Ivy, Email your concers and questions to their customer service (http://mblife.com.ph/contact-us). Within 24hrs they will call you and answer all your queries. That what I did and happened to me. In my case po kc, I gave them 2k which was clarified to me as for “Life Protect” product which means insured aq for a year only. (P150k Accidental/DEath tpos 15kBurial) If irenew mo xa after a year, dun na xa mgiging product named “Life Saver” which is payable for 5years, un sa kn kc eh 26,031 annually (Total premium of P130,155 for 5yrs). Yan un insured ka p dn until 10yrs kahit pa iwithdraw mo un naisave mo ng 5yrs. Wag dw tau maniwala sa kng ano. Better is magdirect dw tau sa IC (Insurance COmmission or sa Main Branch nila)

Is it possible ba na ma cancel ko po yung sakin, nung mach 28 po, hindi ko pa nga nakuha ang policy kasi hindi nila pinadala dahil wala akong dalang i.d. gusto ko na din ipa cancel. Possible ba na mapa cancel ko kaso hindi ko alam policy number nung na avail kong insurance.

          Hi. Sorry pero yung mga advices mo pang elementary. But oki naman to go to the office of insurance commission because registered naman ang mblife at pang number 14 pa. Ang policy kasi sa MBLife, if u buy now, it is given to u when u leave the office so u take it home with u. All the documents are legal so paano mo isasampal yun. And yes, they have to mention ur name para sumikat kang bakla ka.

You exploit the inherent weakness ng mga Pinoy na non-confrontational. Pwede naman kayo gumamit ng ibang scheme just like other insurance companies ah. Hindi naman ganyan yun Philamlife and others pero they continue to thrive in the country. You give insurance companies a bad reputation.           Aq din same sa Linden Suites Ortigas City Last September 27 2016 lang nagyari. Pinapagawa nila aq ng Letter of cancellation. Sabi kasi nila within 3 days daw icoconfirm nila kung ipoproceed q or ndi ung policy un pla granted na agad nun now lng pinapancancel q kz ayaw q n at ng asawa q un dami ng process 25,200 s credit card q un nakuha nila pero nagfile n q s credit card q ng dispute.             ngsearch ako about MANILA BANKERS CORPORATION, then this page un lumabas binasa ko same story same line ng mga sinabi saken,so i decided to cancel the appointment then tumwag agad saken and asking why sinabi ko lang na busy ako,di na ako mkakapunta then sabi sayang nmn sabi ko ok lang diko nalng kunin un reward, tpos bgla sinabi pano un nasign na dw ni “mr Sy” , then i tell her ano gusto mo gawin ko? sinabi sayang kase napasok na pra sa name ko, then i said to her so for me nga yun reward diko nga lang kukunin so ano problem diba free naman?then bgla sabi thank you and bingsakan ako ng phone.

            i therefore conclude na there is something kase baket ganun ka eager na papunthan ako at magalit nun sinabi ko di na ako mkakapunta?

          Mam same experience po ako kahapon lang dinala ako ng ahente nila sa loob ng opisina sabi may ipi present lang at maximum 45 mins lang ang itatagal pero inabot na ako ng 3 oras sa loob di ako paalisin kahit sabi ko bibyahe pa ako sa probinsiya. Nakuhanan po nila ako ng 19,800. Gusto ko po sana I refund kaso paalis na po ako palabas ng bansa kasi ofw po ako. Paano po gagawin ko?

            Remy kung kahapon ka pa lang nagpunta gumawa ka na ng sulat requesting for cancellation at ipadala mo sa head office nila. Mas ok kapag personal at ipa receive mo sa kanila at mag iwan ka ng copy mo kasi you are still within the 15 day window na puwede mong i cancel ang policy mo in accordance with INSURANCE COMMISSION yang 15 window na yan. Then ask them kung kanino ka mag fo follow up kasi kamo paalis ka na, ang systema nila they will ask the agent who handles your policy na kausapin ka ulit and i try kang i convince na wag mo i cancel ang policy mo, SOP nila ata yun….pero wag kang pumayag. Stand firm na ayaw mo mag downgrade at gusto mong mag refund. Please give me your email address so I can send you the sample letter I gave to them. Thanks and goodluck

          Mam, last apr 4,2017 nabiktima din po ako. Sapilitan po ako kumuha ng insurabce dahil ayaw po ako paalisin ng agent nila. 36k po nakuha nila sa akin. Nagpareceive ako ng cancellation letter on apr 5, 2017 mismo sa main office nila sabi 10-15 working days pa daw, nag email ako sa insurance commission to file a complaint then naka CC yung mismong MB life para alam nila na nagemail ako mismo sa insurance commission. Ano po ba ang dapat kong i-email sa credit card bank ko? Kasi po sabi nung nagswipe daw po ng card ko nacharge na agad nila. Ang paano pong follow up ang dapat gawin para po sure na iprocess nila within 10-15days ang refund? Ofw po ako and paalis na ng bansa gagawa na lang po ako ng authorization para sa kapatid ko na magfollow up in behalf of me. Salamat po!

            Buti na lang maxed out ang credit card ko yesterday. Interested pa naman sana ako sa dami ng benefits, pero may doubt pa rin. Ang kinakatakot ko lang, baka kung saan gamitin ang info ko. Kasi nag fill up pa rin ako ng form and they asked for my ID’s na sigurado ginawan nila ng copy.

Maybe may personal question asked ung customer service ng bank at di nila nasagot kase they’ve pretended to be me. Kaya pagbalik. Nung babae hinde ko patapos fill up ung form nila kinuha na nya, pinapirmahan lng sa ibaba. Pero she told me that ung info daw sa kanila lng kpag hinde mananalo sa reffle for trip to HKPraying to God na spare nila ako sa kalokohan nila, and asking God for protection from scammer like them.Sana makonsensya na sila at itigil na nila ang mga ganyang strategy.

          Just an update. The person in charge of MB Life at the Insurance Commission is now MR. RALPH TORIO, not anymore Ms. Layla. Per our phone convo just this afternoon, YES, YOU HAVE FIFTEEN (15) DAYS TO CANCEL. I told him that I’m already dealing with MB Life, but he advised me to file a complaint na rin with them so that IC can help follow up.             Send a copy of your cancellation letter sa Makati Office nila, kahit by email (customercare@mblife.com.ph). CC mo ang IC (publicassistance@insurance.gov.ph). Keep calling them to follow up.

            Hi Cheng. Let me just repeat what some other commenters are saying. The insurance product and the company are both legitimate. Of course, iIf you have any reason why you want to cancel your policy, just have them receive your letter within the 15-day lookup period. May process na dadaanan pa yan, will take a few days or a week or so. Ask them for a timeline or mag-follow up ka.

            Cheng, OK na yan, ongoing na ang cancellation mo. Tawag-tawagan mo lang si Ms. Roda to follow up. Siya rin ang kausap ko before. Siyempre may internal process din silang sinusunod. Ilang araw ko rin siya tinawag-tawagan.

            @ CHENG – ganyan talaga sinasabi nila. not sure if maapprove yung cancellation but you have to insist na di mo kailangan yung insurance at follow up ka lng ng follow up sa main office kay Ms.Roda. At mas maigi kung mag scan ka ng copy ng cancellation letter mo na nareceived ng MB Life dun sa bank mo. send mo thru email para mas mabilis ang refund. sa akin kc mga 1week lng narefund agad , nachargedback agad sa credit card ko.

            mag copy furnished ka po ng nareceived na cancellation letter cc mo ang BSP, IC at yung bank mo. mas mabilis kc ang refund pag nabigyan mo ng scan copy ang bank mo kc mag investigate din sila nyan. sa akin kc ganyan din nangyari wala pang 1week na chargedback agad sa credit card ko yung binawas ng MBlife.

Hindi naman kasi nila alam basta hingi lang sila ng tulong. The best to do po is to go to the insurance commission office at doon magreklamo. Kung hindi ninyo alam address, yun ang i search nyo.

          The same thing almost happen to me and at that time I’m only by myself and then a woman gave me a form to fill in and there’s a point where I also gave them my id and debit card but then doubts suddenly start arising into my mind with the way they are being lenient for me to become their client. I know for that moment that this is a fishy scenario and there’s a time they want me to enter my pin into the machine for the said verification then I confirmed that this is someway for them for having easy money. I advise my fellow country man to be very aware and wary to avoid being victimized. Ask questions to make time to analyze your situation if they’re not making suspicious actions or where in we are being in the state of hypnotized by their words know as “SALES TALKING”. Thankfully I let my doubt won and didn’t get any penny from me. Because there is NO WAY THAT IT’S JUST A VERIFICATION WHEN THEY WANT THE PIN OF THE CARD. That’s a giveaway that they want a transaction even to the point they have the same strategy of a SCAMMERS. DON’T BECOME THEIR PREY OR WORST YOU’LL BE FOOL AGAIN MAYBE NOT BY THEM BUT THE OTHERS.             Hi po, ung mga nagrereklamo, rights po yan ng customer lalo na kung di satisfied sa product na nakuha nila.. at saka pakibasa po ang http://mblife.com.ph/assets/uploads/pdf/penalty3.pdf sa mismong website ng MB Life.. kapag nakakuha ka na ng insurance ang tawag na sa’yo Shareholders lalo na kung naka-autodeduct pa ang client.. kaya mas lalong me rights na magdiscuss dito (A.2 Shareholders, including institutional shareholders, should be allowed to consult with each other on issues concerning their basic shareholder rights as defined in the Principles, subject to exceptions to prevent abuse.).. wag mo pong pigilan mag-usap-usap mga tao dito, mas maganda pa, ayusin nyo strategy nyo ng di malagay sa alanganin ang company nyo.. matatawag talagang scammer kayo kung ganyan ang style nyo..

        Pumirma rin ako ng insurance last Saturday lang sa Lucky China Town. Masyadong mabilis ang pangyayare. same din iyong spiel nila samen ng friend ko 45 mins. Sabi nila pirmahan ko lang for approval pa nmn daw tapos biglang sinwipe iyong credit card ko. Aside from the agent tinawag nya pa iyong bisor nya. 28,200 iyong nakuha saken.             I was also victimized last Dec 1, 2016. But I was able to cancel the policy and reverse the transaction.
            I suggest you call your card company asap to cancel the transaction to prevent future deductions from them and to formalized your complaint on their record. The bank can’t cancel the transaction unless you cancel the policy. So email MB head office asap to cancel the Insurance policy and reverse the transaction. Email your complaint and submit your requirements to Insurance Commission. With the same email I cc to my Credit card bank and MB.
            I felt like MB wasn’t moving fast enough to cancel the policy so I email Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and cc MB head office, card company and the Insurance Commission. Coz if you cc your complaints to the Insurance Commission andBSP, MB would know that your case has gone upto the authorities. If MB is receiving a lot of complaints they could be in trouble.
            All these I did within 15 days. I’m thankful to Normeta coz I read her advice on this blog. There were also other people who told me to complain to BSP if I want fast results. So I did. Coz sayang yung 77,600 kung ipapaloko ko lang sa kanila. So I’m doing my part now to tell those who are in the predicament. I hope makatulong din sa iba. Thx.

            Marita, hindi na ako umabot sa BSP but the other lady i came across sa greenhills office nila did that as well, it might not happen to be you ? haha….CC company will not cancel the transaction they will need you to email them the credit memo from MB life before they so something about the reversal. I called BPI the other day to follow up and I was told the transaction was already cancelled but has not yet posted. Hope this helps.

          Na reverse ko yung credit card transaction ko and napacancel ko yung policy. I did it within 15 days as advised ni Normeta dito sa blog. Nag email ako sa MB head office, Insurance Commission, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and my credit card company. Nag file din ako ng formal complaint and submitted the requirements sa Insurance Commission. Ni Google ko lang yung mga email address nila.

            CYB: Ako nga yung na mèet mo sa Greenhills. Hehehe. I received my statement of account today and reversed na yung transaction. So I can really claim na ok na sya. Praise God. Nakaka stress kaya. Paskong pasko wala ako g credit card dahil ayokong gamitin not until everything is clear. One good thing pa MB called me up Dec 23 and told me na they will reverse the transaction. At least before Christmas may peace of mind ako.. But this blog helps kaya I have to share a success story para makatulong din sa iba.

            Hi CYB. Sorry late reply coz I was away. Somebody tiped me off to complain to BSP if I want to speed things up. BSP has a Financial Consumer Protection Department. I emailed my complaint to BSP together with my letter of cancellation of Policy and Reversal of Credit card Transaction and all the other requirements which I have submitted also to the Insurance Commission. All these I cc MB. I did this to alarm MB that my complaint has reached the authorities and that they better do it asap coz BSP can take action against them. BSP monitors banks and other financial institutions. And besides my credit card bank is not BPI. Its more complicated. Anyway hope you got your refund. And I hope all the rest do too. Well for those who feel hopeless this could be their last chance. And pray hard coz that’s what I did. God bless.

            Pumunta ka dun ulit with a letter for cancellation. Isulat mo ung reason mo kung bakit guso mo ipacancel .they will try to negotiate with u. Para ibaba ung plan mo . Pero dpat i-insist mo na ayaw mo tlga .at gusto mo makuha ung pero .. I remember. .I went there 5 pm ayaw nila ako palabasin hangat Hindi ako pumapayag n ibaba n lng ung plan ..nakalabas ako dun ng 9 na haha . .I wasn’t even feeling well by that time sabi ko sinabi sstraight to the point ung gusto ko. . . .uulit ulitin nila ung sinabi nila nung una pa lng.             Hi Shyne, nakapirma na ako but hindi ko pa nadala ang policy kasi wala akong dalang id yesterday but na convinced pa rin ako to pay. Supposedly babalik ako today para i present ang id ko. For approval pa daw ni bank yung application pero bakit pinag swipe nako through my atm.

            If they are legit willing naman sana ako i continue but after reading all the feedbacks here nakakatakot. Nakakapanghinayang yung perang nawala sakin. Nagdadalawang isip ako na bumalik since kailangan daw ako mag present ng id but they already got the money from me. D ako nakatulog kagabi thinking bakit ako napakagat dun eh palagi akong tumatanggi sa ganun.

        Hi, Kath, I am not familiar with how they market their product. It seems like santong paspasan to. Most legit insurance companies won’t ask you such way. Agents are aggressive to make sales but usually, they won’t ask you to do balance inquiry. Also, kindly verify if these agents are really license to carry MB Life products. Regardless, you can ask help from the Insurance Commission. They really act on it. Check out their website or call Trunk Line: 5238461 -70

        Hi there! Yesterday an agent from manila bankers corporation called me and she yold me that i won inntheir raffle draw. So ii visited the mb life office at annapolis san juan at same day and they gave me their freebies. And 3 agents talked to me and convinced me to save up money while having an insurance. They tild me that as i save up my money in bdo my insurance plan will also get better. So i was trapped and swiped my credit card amounting to 120,000 per annum. When i went home last night i decided to investigate about the company and to my awe a lot has bad feedback about them. So i decided to call up my credit card hotline number and blocked my account and a dispute trasaction letter was made and submitted to the customer line. As of this moment the bank will further investigate on my transactionwith them. This morning i contacted a lawyer friend of mine and told me to submit a letter of withdrawal of the policy to mb life company and to forward mu complain to bangko sentral ng pilipinas and insurance company. So as of this moment i am waiting for the reply from mb life company and i am expecting a fast action from them regarding my request. If this will still not be completed before my 15 day period ill send them a letter coming from my lawyer.

Halos same lang po tayo ng scenarios, kami po ay inaaproach ng 2 agents nila, that time po e ngwithraw lang po ako ng pangkain at pamasahe namin, then sinabe nila na mag fill up lang daw ng infos para may free bag yata un. Habang nglalalkad kami binigyan kami ng instructions, na pag tinanong ung sa presentation, 45mins. So ayun, nung nandun na kami, pinaghiwalay kami ng agent, si ate girl nga po eh medyo me pagka flirt pa eh, kaya medyo naiilang po ako. But the thing is kailangan daw magdala ako ng credit card or ATM card so nag duda na ako agad, naisip ko bakit kailangan ang credit card or ATM card para daw ma check lang ang logo something… which is not a very convincing explanation for me. So I decided to check the web first, so true enough after reading this page meron pala talagang shady going ons.sa kanila.             Sa mga kapwa kong na on-the-spot ng marketing strategy nilang napaka aggressive, pursue on your cancellation request.

            Gawa ka cancellation request.. lahat ng details lagay mo.. anong concern mo…reason bakit mo kinakancel.. anong specific plan yung kinakancel mo.. indicate mo din yung amount.. yyng mode of paymet.. lahat bes isulat mo.

            wag ka maniniwala na kesyo yung isang plan hindi pwedeng icancel baka mas matagalan daw yung process.. wag ka maniwala. sulat mo lahat.. dont forget the date. tas sa name/signature mo sa baba.. sulat mo din contact # at email mo.

            i foforward nila yan sa head office. ask la ng turn arounnd time sa letter mo.. wag kang papayag na di magbigay ng target date.. follow up ka lagi sa kanila.. headsupan mo na din banko mo.

NAgpunta ako nung sunday sa MB Life Market market para magpareceived ng cancellation letter d nila tinanggap d raw pwede i cancel. Then sbi ko bkit naka auto deduct s cc ung fee then pinagawa nila ako ng letter para over the counter n lng ung mode of payment ko. After ko gumawa ng letter binalikan ako nung agent, ipinasulat nmn sa aki ‘Im happy and satisfied with this policy. Grabe sila, sa inis ko pra makalabas na lng isinulat ko yan kc it seems n wla tlga silang blak na pumayag at feeling ko konti n lng mang aaway n ako dun. Im planning to write the MB Life head office.

            Hi.. nabalik na sa cc ko ung na deduct na amount.. what i did is, nung di tinanggap sa market market ung cancellation letter ko, tumawag ako sa insurance commission to confirm my rights to cancel the policy. then i emailed mblife and send them my cancellation letter, sa email ko nka cc si insurance commission. Ayun, tinawagan ako ni ms rodalyn, everytime mag follow up ako sa kanila naka cc si insurance commission kc napansion ko if sa text or email n di naka cc c insurance commission d cla nagreresponse. Pagbalik ko sa market market isinoli ko n ung policy then binigyan nila ako ng copy ng bank charge request…Ngaun, naayos na ung problema ko sa kanila.

        • May tumawag din po sa akin kanina lang. Ang ipinagtataka ko sa landline. So I assume they got it from my credit card company dahil the caller mentioned that it’s a benefit daw being a visa/MasterCard member. I asked the caller Kung ano ang catch ng mga freebies na yun. Wala daw they are just following up dahil di pa daw na ki claim yung sa akin. Ending ng conversation is he will call to inform daw the claims department and will give me my claim code. While waiting for his call, I googled about MB and I came across about all these info (Salamat sa inyo). So when he called I told him about what I discovered, and talagang pinaninindigan niya na magkiclaim lang ako. Wala daw presentation, wala daw binebenta, etc.etc. wow salamat, but I don’t want to waste my time kasi I’m sure pipilitin din nila ako just like all of you who experienced it and baka may magsabi akong Di maganda, e Di rin naman ako kukuha ng insurance nila because I am with Philam, nakakahiya namang kunin pa ang freebies nila. So sayang oras, Pagod at gastos.

          This is just my humble unsolicited opinion and sana maibsan naman ang alinlangan ng iba. Insurance is not bad. In fact we need to be educated how insurance and investment works and it’s benefits to us. Di pa nga lang masyadong bukas loob tayo sa idea. What is bad is the procedure of MB to educate Filipinos about insurance. Their invitation is a total misrepresentation. Para tuloy feeling natin naholdap tayo with the way they presented and pinilit tayo magsign up. But one thing or another na nakapakinig po ng presentation nila na sa tingin niyo you will benefit from it and may perang pambayad kayo. I think Di naman nasayang yun kasi you are protected naman or baka may investment factor pa po yun. I’m not sure lang po what’s the coverage of your Insurance versus po doon sa premium pay if maganda ang benefits. But for those po na they need that money for something else and feeling nila holdap ang modus, please do the necessary action. Like reporting to MB head office, to your bank to cancel or change your account para Di na mag auto debit ang next billing. To Insurance commission and BSP para maibalik ang initial payment. For those na na charge through credit card, report it to your cc bank and email them necessary details like when, how much and of course MB as the merchant. Meron pong tinatawag na charge back and 70% of the case ay favorable sa card holder. Isama niyo na rin ang cancellation letter.

          I hope this could help some of you. Let us be vigilant of this misrepresentation and take care of each others welfare.

    My GF got scammed by this a$$holes in SM dasma by this company. They were able to get all my gf’s personal details and also handed them her credit card. They said just for verification. By the time my GF got distracted by them, they were able to avail an Insurance Policy online without her consent and charged her almost 7K pesos. After the transaction, my GF realized that something went wrong and immediately called her bank to confirm. And yes it was! So beware of this scammers guys!

            I searched the Internet and found out that every insurance has cooling period or look up period which is 15 days. This is mandatory as per insurance commission rule. So we can still send them a request to cancel our policies within this period.

            Just send them a cancellation letter and wait.for their response. If they told you na it’s not stated in the contract.. Then sbhn nyo.. Ignorance excuses no one.. Dapat alam nla yun kc nkasaad yun s batas.

            I’ll be going to the nearest branch tomorrow and have my cancellation letter signed as a proof that within 15 days plng yung policy ko.

            Nakareceive din ako ng call kanina from this number, 09295387968, name is simon jimenez. at sabi nga may rewards na scholarship, etc. nagtataka ko kung pano ko nagkaron non at san nanggaling. then tinanong na niya mga credit cards. kuhanin ko na daw kasi maglalapse na. tinanong pa kung taga san ako. then, kuhanin ko na daw today… kalayo ko jusme. tas magbigay daw ako ng date kung kelan ko kukuhanin. pero i had doubts, kasi cellphone ang gamit, saka bakit naman nila ko bibigyan ng ganon ng libre lang. kesyo kahit pamasahe lang daw dala ko. basta magdala daw credit card at 3 valid IDs at wala daw aalalahanin na cash out. buti na lang nagcheck din ako sa internet kung meron ba talaga ung company nila. glad na nkita ko mga comments dito. thanks po for sharing…

      I had experienced yesterday, but when they are letting me press my pin number after swiping my atm, I resisted. Clearly said sa form namaitratransfer sa account nila and they said very clearly na you take your money back after 3 YEARS but only 80%… All were based from writings on the paper without document stating what they are saying… Told them that they ahould give me a copy and I will first review for a day… But, they said after applying??? Swipe YOUR ATM WITH THEIR OWN MACHINE??? Let you press your pin???…. Absolutely it is a no no policy for me… Thanks for the book I read ” think and grow rich”…

It was March 2015 when I was forced to sign a policy contract with them. isip ko, one time lang para matapos na, kasi di ka naman pakakawalan. nagulat ako na after six months may charge sa credit card ko, which I have no choice but to pay. and another after 6 months. I couldn’t do anything coz, I was away. Since, I am home this time, I went yesterday to process cancellation and withdraw my money. They told me that if I cancel now (less than 3 years) I will not get any centavo from my money. they advised me to continue paying up to 3 years and then surrender the policy for me to be able to get back all my money which is about 60k++. Now, reading all these feedbacks, I feel I lost all hope in getting my money back. hindi naman napulot yan sa daan….pinaghirapan din naman yan. I hope God will make them realize their evil ways and make them pay!

And yes, nasa insurance commission naman and matagal na yung company. So, ayun continue pa din ako sa MB Life. Ilang years nalang matatapos na yung hulog ko.     I always get text messages and calls from MB but I just ignore them. Earlier I received a call again and because I was bored I decided to let the agent do his sales talk and convince me about the freebies which he calls “benefits.” Yes, he did ask me if I have crdit cards from Citi, BPI, Metrobank and BDO. That was already a red flag.

    After his sales pitch I asked him what MB wants in return, and he said that they just want me to talk about MB to my family and friends. That’s bull. No company will give out something without anything in return.

    Anyway, I won’t go their office. I’ll just make paasa to him πŸ™‚

    I’d say that MB is not a scam. What they are doing is a marketing strategy. Unfortunately, it’s a bad one that will hurt the company’s reputation and long-term growth. Their executives don’t know how to run a company. Let’s be careful and not let these sharks fool us. We have to outsmart them.

    I have worked in the financial industry, specifically insurance and investments. I hope these simple advise could help:

    1. If something is too good to be true, there is a “catch.”

    2. Find more information about the company. Never easily trust their products and services.

    3. If they offer you an insurance, do not sign. Ask for a prospectus first and review your insurance needs. There are good insurance companies out there that give real advise. Choose wisely.

    4. Never give out your credit card. Once they have your credit card number (and your cc code at the back of the card), your credit card won’t be secured anymore. Even when you dine outside, if it has taken more than 5 minutes to get your card back when you pay the bill and you can’t see where it was swiped, be wary because your card might have been replicated.

Do you think that the client like me can still get the refund from Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corporation Policy? because I’m not satisfy with the policy plus their kind of marketing strategies how they can hook their prospective clients… Do the MB Life Insurance should returned the money because it is still covered the cancellation grace period policy?         so regardless po whatever plan it’ll be my grace period po na 30 days for cancellation?! sabi po kasi sakin 2 years ko pa makuha pero ko tapos di pa po buo… di daw po pede kunin ung pera kasi disciplined savings daw pinili ko… noong isang araw lang po ako nakapagbigay and nakakaasar kasi now I really need the money… Please instruct me on what to do next coz I’m not satisfied with the policies… thanks..

          Hi Jem,

          As you know, that’s exactly the same text message I received last month from MBLife. After several weeks, I decided to meet today the person who sent me such text message so I could check for myself if it’s indeed a scam or sort of deceptive marketing tactics just like what most people here are saying.

          You know what, it’s not a scam. I received from MBLife everthing they have promised, they just asked me for some names whom they can call and introduce their company to and promote their products with.
          Hence, try your luck if you have time. Nothing to lose though.

          Big thanks to Ms. Arra and Mr. Jess of MBLife Ayala Branch for being so nice and accommodating during my short stay in their office.

          Thus, I hope MBLife can attend immediately to people who posted their complaints and negative comments here, because I find it so damaging to their business reputation, to think that MBLife has been in business for quite a long time already.
